A former Apple engineer started a business in Suzhou, completing tens of million

MakerJun has learned that Suzhou Suoer Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Soer Electronics") recently completed a Series A+ financing round worth tens of millions of RMB, led by Zhenghai Capital.

The funds raised in this round will mainly be used to expand overseas offline channels and advance AI intelligent R&D for products.

It is understood that Soer Electronics was established in February 2020 and is headquartered in Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. As a national high-tech enterprise centered on haptic feedback and screen sound technology, after more than four years of development, it has established a dual-driven model of "B-end technology empowerment + C-end brand implementation."

Cao Hongbin, founder and CEO of Soer Electronics, worked at Apple for eight years before founding Soer, deeply involved in the design, R&D, mass production, and commercialization of the complete seven-generation linear motors for the iPhone and Apple Watch.

Most of Soer Electronics' core teams come from leading companies such as Apple, GoerTek, and Huawei in hardware, algorithms, and supply chain fields, possessing comprehensive capabilities in product design, R&D, processes, and mass production.

As one of the few Chinese engineers deeply involved in the entire haptic feedback product process in Apple's supply chain, Cao Hongbin personally witnessed how a vibration function, originally "optional," was refined by the iPhone into an immersive interactive experience that lets users "feel the touch of click."

In an interview, he recalled that before starting his business, he anticipated that leading hardware companies faced a "major confusion zone" in the haptic interaction field. Drawing on his deep experience from Apple's development of haptic solutions from the first to the sixth generation, he ultimately decided to take root in the tactile field centered on human sensory systems.


Through years of dedicated research and development, Soer has innovatively changed the vibration structure and damping system of traditional motors, inventing a true physical broadband broadband haptic engine. Its large vibration sensation, wide bandwidth, and ultra-fast response can simulate almost all natural events and rich virtual content tactile interactions, while offering extremely energy-saving, ultra-rich, and more immersive features, providing users with a richer and more realistic tactile experience.
Since its establishment, the company has developed multiple product lines to meet the needs of different fields and customers, and has established strategic partnerships with many clients including Pico. Our products mainly cover high-performance fixed-frequency vibration engines, broad-frequency response vibration engines, and innovative acoustic products (screen sound generation, bone conduction), and more. We have obtained more than eighty invention and utility patents.

Mojawa, the consumer brand of Soer Electronics, has now launched four generations of bone conduction headphones with independent intellectual property rights. The product line covers diverse scenarios: Run Air focuses on lightweight design (only 26 grams) and offers a "seamless wear" experience; Run Plus supports dual modes of "Bluetooth + MP3," suitable for outdoor activities without a phone; and the health monitoring model Terra, which integrates heart rate monitoring.

In terms of product positioning, Mojawa avoids the mid- to low-end price wars and focuses on the mid-to-high-end market targeting professional sports enthusiasts. In the domestic market, Mojawa has entered Sam's Club's supply chain system; Overseas markets have become an important part of revenue, with mainstream KA online platforms such as BestBuy, Walmart.com, Target, and Office Depot entering the US in the second half of 2025.

After this round of financing, Mojawa's plan is undergoing a strategic pivot: from a sports headphone brand to an AI sports smart platform.
When worn, bone conduction headphones fit closely against the human head, naturally equipped with multi-dimensional sensors such as integrated heart rate sensors and environmental perception. Based on this advantage, Mojawa is developing exercise assistance features integrated with AI algorithms, aiming to cover a complete closed-loop exercise experience for users before training (plan recommendations), during training (heart rate monitoring and warning), and after training (data review).
